Wow, just looked back at the last post I made on here and it was Halloween! Can’t believe it’s been almost 3 whole months! Things have of course been busy around here. Our little man is now 6 and a half months old, and I love him to absolute bits. He’s rolling all over the place, beginning to sit up on his own, and putting everything in his mouth.
With all of the programs we’re involved in, I haven’t found much time to craft. I did make all of my Christmas cards this year, but I’ll have to post pictures of them another day. Today’s post is my first ever attempt at a Simon Says Stamp challenge. I loved the sketch for this week’s challenge, so I thought I’d try it out. My husband’s nana fell and broke her radius so this card will be sent to her to cheer her up:
For this card I used a House Mouse stamp, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah cardstock, coloured up with copics, some Basic Grey papers (Hopscotch Collection) that I inked with some Vintage Photo distress ink, and Stampin’ Up’s Early Espresso and Blush Blossom (retired) cardstock. The buttons were made with a die from Papertrey Ink., and I glossed them up with some Glossy Accents. I actually did sew them onto the card with some embroidery floss that I’ve had for years. The brads are Basic Grey, and the sentiment is from a My Favorite Things set.
My next challenge for myself is to figure out the Inlinkz Link Manager and get using that on this blog, and to enter into more challenges. Wish me luck!
Thanks for stopping in,
Steph
